I then went a bit mad and sealed any joint in sight to use up the Sikaflex.
Rrepair is what we have used on a new build for our trailer, and you can get it apart afterwards, you just need to cut through the seam with a sharp blade. Mercedes D Conversion Location: I will be resealing my awning rail using silkaflex but I wanted to check that I can use a white spirit to remove any excess?
Please report any error here. Hi Thank you all for your help Hope to start soon ,we’re is the best place to buy sikaflex from Jenny Jennymay.
Hope you got a steady hand Soudal fix all seems the clever way to re seal, cheaper and never heard of a problem, I think the majority of caravan repairers use it. Used on my van with no problems. Lots of cleaning up afterwards with thinners or white spirits. Don’t use Sikaflex on anything you might want to take apart again though like fridge vents once it is put on properly the only way to get it off is to cut it!
Hi we are going to try revseal our carvan trim we found link of how to do it But is say that we have to use sikaflexmastic tape as we are new to carvaning and new to repairing we were wondering if anyone can tell us which is the best to use and why ie repxir or mastic tape and do we have to use them both and what tool we would need the carvan has no leaks in it at the mo but some of the trim looks as if it will need doing before next year Thank you jenny Jennymay.
Taylor56 Gold Member Outfit: Billy 3 Standard Member Outfit: Ebay is normally cheapest as folks sell their surplus tubes off, but you can find deals around on the net if you look. Don’t know whether to seaam it or look forward to doing it. Just want our van home into the shed at work now, to make a start on the damp area that’s finally dried out at the front Looks er, ‘interesting’ stuff to use We bought a pack which was out of its sell-by date, that was inand we are still using the remainder now, so don’t be afraid if the date is close or exceeded, it does keep OK in unopened tubes.

Our dealer workshop is now using Fix All not Sikaflex. I can do some DIY stuff, but this seems a bit daunting Wish i’d thought of the masking tape Clean up any excess before it cures. Not cheap xcrewfix the best available. Use white spirit to clean the parts and meths or acetone to degrease.
