It was suggested that this asymmetry is induced by a strain-induced buoyancy flux that stabilizes on ebb and destabilizes during the flood tide . The parallelized code allows running the 4 nested models simultaneously, each one in one processor with a restriction in the time interval relations. Figure 6 shows the comparison between simulation and instantaneous measurements of velocity for one of the stations, showing a good agreement. Conclusions The low computational cost and the quality of the results justify the application this method in operational schemes.
